This online session is part of the ITSS WinterFest 2026 programme; open to technical staff working in Higher Education and Research Institutions in the UK.

You will have an opportunity to find out how best to prepare for an interview, and how to make sure that you that you sell yourself and your skills to the hiring manager. This workshop will enable technicians to explore, evaluate and improve their interview skills. This session is delivered online using MS Teams. The teams link will be sent prior to the session as a diary invitation.

At the end of this session, you will be able to:

• Identify key interview techniques

• Analyse and evaluate different interview styles

• Use these techniques in a way which matches your own style

• Create a brief action plan about practicing and improving
