As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting Research Technical Professionals across the UK, UK RAS STEPS is looking to invest in creating Special Interest Groups (SIGs) that will focus on areas where we believe there may be a lack of support or resources.

Are there any areas within robotics and autonomous systems (RAS) that you feel are underrepresented, or where technicians would benefit from more targeted support, resources, or a dedicated community? Whether it’s a specific technology, a technical skill, or an emerging area in RAS, we want to know your thoughts.

Currently we have a Liquid Handling Robotics SIG and are also looking to create a Technical Staff in Teaching SIG. Please get in touch by emailing info@ukras-steps.org if you are interested in joining either group or have an idea for a SIG that could provide RTPs with the support they need to grow and advance their careers.
