UK RAS STEPS Network is offering fully funded and visits at UK universities for Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) working in or with Robotics and Autonomous Systems (RAS). To help you make the most of this opportunity, we are funding a series of online programmes tailored to every stage of the placement journey delivered by professionals from HEaTED. Our facilitators have lived experience of undertaking placements.

🧭 Preparing for Placement: Maximising Professional and Personal Growth  

Format: Online | Duration: ½ Day  (26th February, 2026)
Audience: Those scheduled to undertake a placement   

Get ready to hit the ground running. This session helps you prepare for your placement by setting clear goals, understanding the placement journey, and developing strategies for success.  

💬 Placement Development Programme  

Format: 1-2-1 Online Coaching | Duration: 2x1h sessions (flexible scheduling) 
Audience: Individuals currently on a placement   

This personalised coaching programme supports your growth during the placement and helps you carry forward your learning. With expert guidance, you’ll tackle challenges, reflect on progress, and maximise the impact of your experience.
