UK RAS STEPS is hosting online training workshops on the basics of Git and GitHub

Have you ever written a program, got it mostly working, then made a few more changes, and now the program is totally broken? If you have, then this is the course for you. Git and GitHub are software configuration management (SCM) tools that professional and amateur software developers use so that once they get things working, they can keep them working.  SCM tools are also used to collaborate by sharing code across groups of people across the world.

Andy Blight, who is a software engineer with over 32 years of commercial experience, is hosting an online workshop to help you understand how to use Git and GitHub for your software projects. Andy has been using Git since 2012 and instigated getting GitHub Enterprise for the University of Leeds, where he now administers about 200 repos for the School of Mechanical Engineering.
