Two-day Workshop: Automation of Liquid Handling
UK RAS STEPS will host a fully-funded two-day workshop at the Edinburgh Genome Foundry on April 14-15, designed for Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) working in the automation of liquid handling.
Workshop Overview
- Day 1 (14 April):
The event begins with lunch at midday and networking, followed by an afternoon of technical sessions focused on practical approaches to liquid handling and emerging technologies. The event will include TechnoBite talks from suppliers, including OpenTrons, Tecan and Hamilton. - Day 2 (15 April):
9am-3pm, the programme includes further technical sessions, an open session to discuss challenges, and TechnoBite talks, as well as facility tours of the Genome Foundry, with dedicated time to meet suppliers and discuss solutions.
A detailed agenda will be shared with attendees.
This event builds on the success of our previous workshop at the Materials Innovation Factory, University of Liverpool, in March 2025.

UK RAS STEPS will fund all travel, accommodation, and subsistence for eligible RTPs working in RAS. Our policy can be found here. We will reimburse your host institution for all hotel and travel costs on receiving an invoice.
