The Strategic Technical Platform and UK RAS STEPS

The STEPS (Strategic Technical Platform for Research Technical Professionals) project, part of the Strategic Technical Platform, aims to provide RTPs with the skills, knowledge, and support they need to succeed in their careers. Through training, mentorship, networking, and collaborative opportunities, STEPS is creating a thriving community of professionals who are passionate about advancing robotics technologies.

The UK RAS STEPS Technical Showcase is an integral part of this initiative, offering a forum for RTPs to share their work, learn from one another, and contribute to the growing impact of robotics in the world.

FAQs

If you are nominated but not shortlisted:
You will be informed that you have not been shortlisted but will still receive a digital certificate to acknowledge your achievements and contribution to the field of RAS.

If you are shortlisted to win:
Shortlisted nominees will be notified by email. All shortlisted individuals and teams will be invited to attend the UK RAS STEPS Technical Showcase on 18th June 2025, where the winners will be announced.

If you are shortlisted but unable to attend the event, we will ask for a member of your team or organisation to collect the prize or any highly commended certificates on your behalf; or send a digital certificate.

The UK RAS STEPS Technical Showcase will be held at a leading London Museum. Further details on registration.

All nominations will be reviewed by an independent judging panel.
