Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) working in robotics and autonomous systems (RAS) can now apply for support to attend the 2026 IEEE Conference on Telepresence through the UK RAS STEPS Conference and Training Fund.

Taking place from 9th-13th November 2026 in Bristol, UK, the conference will bring together researchers, engineers, technical professionals, and industry experts working at the forefront of telepresence, teleoperation, robotics, and human-computer interaction. This year’s event will place a particular focus on the robotics technologies that enable teleoperation, alongside the human-centred interfaces that make effective telepresence possible.

The 2026 IEEE Conference on Telepresence aims to foster collaboration across disciplines and explore how emerging technologies are transforming the ways people interact, work, and operate remotely. The conference will feature technical presentations, demonstrations, keynote speakers, networking opportunities, and discussions on the future of telepresence-enabled systems

Hosted in Bristol, United Kingdom, the conference is also planning a satellite event in Hong Kong, reflecting the growing international nature of the telepresence and robotics community.
