Explore marine autonomy in Larnaca, 12–15 April 2027
UK RAS STEPS invites expressions of interest from Research Technical Professionals (RTPs) for an international knowledge exchange visit to the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI) in Larnaca, Cyprus, from 12–15 April 2027. Travel dates are additional and will be confirmed separately.
This four-day programme brings together UK-based RTPs working across robotics, autonomous systems, marine technology, AI, sensing and digital engineering to explore research facilities and innovation programmes focused on the future of the maritime sector. Participants will engage directly with CMMI researchers, technical specialists and innovation teams, sharing expertise and building connections with fellow UK RAS members.
What to expect
- Marine robotics and autonomous systems
- Maritime digitalisation
- Autonomous navigation and maritime safety
- Environmental monitoring and marine observation
- Marine sensing and communications technologies
- Ocean governance and responsible innovation
- Human factors and operational safety
